Microsoft have now released their first beta of IE8 for Web Developers and Designers; it’s available to download right now!
New features include:
- “Activities” - updated context menus, with links to social networking sites and various other MSN based services
- “Web Slices” - take a slice of dynamic content and keep up to date without loading the browser
- Three different layout engines to choose from: Quirks Mode (to emulate IE 5.5 etc), Strict Mode (for IE 7) and Standards Mode
- Apparently faster and more reliable
- More compatible with other browsers, meaning code should look the same across the board

Oh my god! Sony have totally pwnd me!
I decided t’other day to purchase me a SonyEricsson k850i - iPhones are only going to be available on o2, so rather than wait six months, or do any of that “drop-it-down-to-the-cheapest-tariff-and-have-two-’phones” malarky, I opted to extend my contract with Voda for another 6 months and get the next best thing on the market.
Well the phone’s hot, the pics that it takes are hot (being a Cybershot), the software’s hot, the screen’s hot and the media player is a vast improvement on any other cellphone media player too… oh and it does that cool thing where it auto-rotates the screen if you turn it!
So I got this lovely phone, and decided to have a wee look for accessories. And boy did I find one?!
Oh yes, I stumbled across the MBW-100! This is a beautiful watch, with built in Bluetooth™ to control your cell’s media player and alert you to calls and sms messages! You can even mute and reject those calls that you just don’t want to answer!
